Hello. After reading the Amazon site for the card, the goal would be "better" with the card. They say that the goal is to be used with the adapter. It was pretty confusing, but I can their language, that is, it is meant to be optional. No need to ask, though. B & H Photo, you can call (I'm sure they have a 1-800 number) and the number of the camera model and the numbers of the lens and the adapter, and you'll know for sure. Definitely buy anything unnecessary.
